Request for the King
IP: 69.113.245.145

William had finally decided to take Lusi's advice and take to farming on his own place. Now he just needed a place. He had noticed no one really wanted to inhabit Augury Vale, and he had gotten only dirty looks when inquiring. But he had few superstitions, and did not know enough of Shaman hitory to feel surperstitious himself. Or perhaps he just had not paid enough attention. But there was a steady source of water, rich soil with plenty of room to grow things. It would make a better home as none.

Bertie was in a sulky mood, quiet upon his shoulder. Not that she objected to the idea, just that it had not been hers. I wish the line would move faster. Would harassing the guards help? she asked in a bored tone, even though she knew the asnwer. Many people seemed to have come to ask a favor of the King. William did not envy the royal's position. He would hate to attend to every audience with patience and shared wisdom. Better someone else keep that job.

Finally he could approach the dais. He bowed first, then began to explain his desire. "Sire? I have a favor to ask. I have not a home, and noticed one of the territories is without a leader. I would seek to make a home and farm within the Augury Vale, if you could spare it." He spoke a little fast, having hever spoken to a king before and wanting to get the words out before he forgot what he was supposed to say.
