The ordeal of his mother's challenge and its aftermath had been more strenuous on Viserion's mind than he'd ever let on to his family. It was, perhaps, because of how overactive his thoughts had a tendency to be. While he would readily focus on one subject at the forefront of his mind, a dozen other topics stewed in the background, occasionally cropping up within the main frame. He was a smart boy, perceptive and logical, but that did not exempt him from the troubles of a young mind. The possibilities of what could have happened if Daenerys had lost were endless, and though she'd won, what if they injuries she'd sustained made her more susceptible to challenge in the months to come? Would someone take advantage of her potential weakness while she was healing? But now that Jericho was her mate, would he take on the challenge in her place if she was not strong enough to do so herself? And besides all that, did that make Jericho something of a father to him? It was quite the load for such a young mind, and he found himself beginning to feel a slight bit overwhelmed by the busyness of his mind.
And so, intelligent as he was, VIserion made the conscious decision that today he would go up into the heights of the mountains and simply enjoy this beautiful winter day for what it was. He would quiet his mind or perhaps offer it some sort of distraction. Maybe he could seek out Arthfael and go exploring some part of the mountain they'd not delved into yet. Golden paws cut a path through the snow, leaving prints in his wake as he ascended the mountain, his destination not yet chosen as his white fringed body became even more so peppered with the flakes of white that slowly drifted from the sky. He made a point of clearing his mind, of allowing all the thoughts that usually stewed just out of sight to be quieted by the beauty around him. Molten gold eyes drifted back and forth as he continued on his aimless path, catching sight of a bright red cardinal as it flitted through the trees.
A single white-backed ear flicked to the side at the gentle sound of humming from somewhere nearby, and he watched the cardinal for a moment long before it flew off in the opposite direction from where the sound of another wolf had come. Inquisitive mind piqued, he turned and moved through the trees, finding a trail of small paw prints through the snow that led to a nearby ledge he knew of. Being the sociable young lad that he was, when he sniffed at the trail of fresh prints and found himself unfamiliar with the scent, he decided then and there to make the acquaintance of this younger wolf. Not wanting to sneak up on someone sitting upon an overhang of rock, Viserion made his foot falls heavy enough so as to be heard coming, before moving out onto the ledge and finding himself in the company of a pup he'd not yet met. "Hello there," he said in a friendly tone. "I'm Viserion; it's a beautiful view from up here, don't you think?" An incredibly well mannered young man, Viserion was fitting into his rank as seneschal quite well. Looking to the younger girl, he waited to see if his presence was welcome here or not. After all, if she'd come up here to be alone he didn't very well want to intrude upon that.
