It really was not too difficult to pull off what the woman of Spirane wanted for her ranks. Really, it was quite simple and I am surprised no one had really given it a real try. Regardless, I had spent some time in the caves, gathering my secrets from the last night before I decided to finally return to the pack. I am still touch in the color and scent of dried blood all over my body. I had taken to resting in the darkness for a time, allowing my mind to droll over my life. Hell, I even hoped that the damned woman I was looking for with no luck would stumble into the darkness where I could snap her neck in half before I dragged her into the light to see the bloodied face of vengeance.
As my head lays on my paws, my senses are stirred as I hear movement not too far off. My ears slide forward and my mind becomes sharp. I remain still as I hear movement, my head staying still as I consider my option. There is only a small patch of light not far off, but the rest is as dark as a shadow lacking moonlight. I know not what comes into the caves, until I hear the soft sound of a masculine grumble.
Looks like someone is just as grumpy as I usually am.
I lift my brindled head up. I inhale the stale air to barely receive a hint of message, only that he is a he and he is wolf. I smirk in the shadows. I know my form is still riddled in dried blood, but I needed to leave anyway. I lift myself from the rock, and allow the sound of my body scraping against the ground to fill the silence between us.
I take each step as I normally would. Each is filled with purpose. My red-touched form reaches the bit of light, allowing it to flow over my naturally graceful and lithe form. I am the prime example of feminine beauty- and sometimes I acknowledge its usefulness, although I would trade it all for brute strength. I look up into the light with my blue eyes, before my head shoots over to the spot where I heard the other. Darkness engulfs that area, but I look anyway.
"What brings you here?" I command, knowing not who or what I speak to. Part of me wonders if it was that boy from last night, but the sound of these paws were much too heavy for that young thing. No, this will be a much more interesting creature, or perhaps less...wordy.
