At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

_________________________________________________________________________ The brute had been busier than he thought he would be. He knew that running a pack was a lot of work, but he didn’t realize quite how time consuming it would be. He felt like he was always doing something now a days and a part of him liked being busy and a part of him wished he had more down time. He had traveled to Saw Tooth with his trusted Beta, Misty and he knew he had a few more packs to travel to with. He needed to go back to Moondown Shadows to thank Striker for what he had done for his family and to apologize for his rudeness. He was thinking about making his ways over to Cold Summers and see how that pack was doing. He knew that they had many trained warriors there and they seemed like they would be a good ally to have. And then there was Aurora Borealis, a pack that he had been friendly with and they spoke of making an alliance together, though he had not yet been visited by anyone. And finally, Spring Grounds had made their way with him in a larger group than he would have expected. He liked all the activity and it was exciting for him to be making these allies and making his pack stronger. The brute was also glad to see the numbers in his pack growing. He had recently accepted two new members to his pack, and he only hoped for it to improve from there. One of the newcomers had even taken action and offered to start up a pack hunt, something Summer was more than happy to let the new female do. He was also pleased to see that one of his more trained pack members had offered to share his skills and do a battle training. He had been watching from the shadows and saw his adopted daughter go and ask if she could watch. He was not surprised when Misty showed as well, as she always was involved in pack activities. Right now, Bright Moon was in a good place and he couldn’t be happier for his pack. He was glad he had such a good environment for his sister’s daughter, who he had adopted and taken in as his own when Lady died giving birth to the pups, had a safe haven to grow up in. Summer just needed to make sure to include her in as much as possible so she could learn everything about being in a pack. Summer was thinking about all these politics when he realized he had wandered out of Bright Moon’s territory entirely. The pack scent was no longer strongly in the air, and he took a moment to look around and figure out where he had wandered off to. The scent of fresh water was nearby, and he could feel a cool breeze blowing through his thick, smoky colored pelt. His paws padded forward as the trees thinned out and he stepped onto the rocky shore of Leisure Lake. He went to the waters’ edge and stopped to take a drink, looking around at the other wolves that were there. Some were relaxing by themselves and others were talking in pairs or groups. He saw a shaded area under a rock and padded over, laying down on the rocky terrain in the shade. He enjoyed the rare moment of relaxation and peace amongst the chaos of running a pack. ________________________________________________________________________ |
