Death of Royal Navy, Senior Chief Communications Technician, Dave (Dai) Rees

I have sad news from England. Fellow Royal Navy CT, retired Senior Chief Communications Technician David (Dai) Rees, passed away from a massive heart attack on Sunday, August 30, 2015. He served in the Royal Navy during the 60s, 70s, and 80s. He was living in Chichester, England at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife Cathy, son Michael, and daughter Claire, and 8 grandchildren. Although I donít know all his assignments, I do know he served at Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean, RAF Edzell, Scotland, and was aboard the HMS Arc Royal when it deployed to the Falklands. Daiís last assignment was at the Admiralty Surface Weapons Establishment (ASWE), Portsmouth, England. While at ASWE he was the senior enlisted advisor to the Royal Navy for the Royal Navyís OUTBOARD system and other communications activities. Let us all remember Daiís great sense of humor, candor, and professionalism.
