Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

The wolf before me seems distracted, like there's something she's thinking extra hard about. I tilt my head, curiosity glowing in my eyes. "Penny for your thoughts?" I want to know what's going on in her life and get to know what interests her. I wonder if she has any family around or any friends in Glorall. I know I don't have many besides my brother so I'm trying to get out more. She seems tough, like she's been working out a lot. I know I usually look pretty stout even though I don't train a lot. I'm just not about being physically violent with someone. Heck, I can't even use harsh words. It would be hard to convince someone who really knows me that I actually killed a wolf. I can't even bring myself to accept it yet.

She mouths a word when I ask for her name and it takes me a minute to understand, tilting my head and leaning in a little closer. "I'm sorry, did you say Apome?" It may be a really bad try but hey, I am trying and I wasn't expecting to have to read her lips so I wasn't really focused on them. Dang it, maybe I should work on that if I'm going to be a diplomat. She smiles and it looks friendly enough which is a plus for me. It gives me hope that I'll have a new friend when I leave this encounter. As I sit beside her, I can take in the fresh wounds on her skin and I scowl a little. "Are you okay? What happened?" Concern flickers in my eyes as I look over them. I would ask if she needs anything for healing but Solitaire is the one to ask for that. I'm no good at herbs.

She starts to bat the sand and I worry that I'm boring her. "I'm sorry, I can talk more to entertain you. What would you like to hear about? What are you into?"
