News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

She had, of course, heard the invitation. At the time, however, she had been within Diveen's outskirts, having felt the urge to visit her mother in the later part of winter. After all, she had been missing her father and the news of his return had brought her both joy and an unusual kind of sadness. See, her father had seemed... unwell, or at least, not quite like she had remembered him. It had made her decide to loiter within Diveen for some additional time, doing her best to help her parents and stick alongside Ame in case he had felt insecure. He'd always been quiet, after all, and she wanted to ensure he felt safe above all else. For all the independence she might have shown, she always had a soft spot for her brother. They had been born together, after all, and as far as she was concerned, they'd always be together in some way. Besides, being with her family had been a good thing. But, she knew she'd want to go back to Spirane sooner or later and so, she had done her best to persuade Ame to join them on the mountain to celebrate their second year of life. To think they had made it so far! It might haves seemed like a grim story, but Yuki's mother had been sure to remind them just how special that achievement was. Where she had come from, that was not always the case.

Nonetheless, she had taken off towards the mountain with a haste, having departed before the rise of the sun so that she might arrive on time. She was eager to see those she knew or even those she simply knew of - word traveled fast, you see, and she had heard quite curious names in her excitement. Besides, she hadn't a chance to really get to know the other children in Spirane, a fact that she was sore about. It had simply been difficult to juggle everything, especially with her father's unusual disappearance. So, it would be the best opportunity to reinsert herself into the social sphere and, hopefully, bring her brother along for the ride. Ame needed friends anyway! Though she may have been bias, Yuki firmly believed he deserved the best possible friends. High quality. Kind. Strong. The best in whatever way. And what better way to find them for him than to know them herself? The idea made her laugh in excitement and ingenuity as she loped across the familiar borders.

The journey upwards had become easier and she followed the scents closely up the mountain. Still, by the time she had arrived, a small gathering had begun with the Princes at its center. At first, she lingered back and watched, humming to herself as she attempted to find the perfect moment to enter the conversation. Of course, such a time never truly came and so, she simply ambled over finally, her tail joyfully waving behind her. She flashed a toothy grin to each and every wolf, her eyes flowing from the Princes to those that had come from Diveen too. They were all so... well, she had heard of them. That said it all. Yet, she was sure none of them had heard of her. That had to change!

"For those of you that don't know - I'm Yuki! And for those that do, it's great to be in familiar company."

She spoke with a natural cheer, a charisma born from her mother as she settled into place, flashing yet another grin as she wriggled down slightly so that she was almost half-draped over a stone. Wherever she was, she always managed to look unnervingly comfortable. There wasn't really a place on earth that made her uneasy - or at least, she had begun to convince herself of that and it had begun to show.

"I can't wait to see who else shows up! I heard the invitation went out to everybody. Think of all the potential new faces! Maybe we'll even get to meet wolves from Asteraia or Iromar!"

Perhaps she seemed to speak to herself, yet the eagerness was all the same. It didn't matter who she met - she was just... well, flustered by the prospect.
