As with all previous years, in this round your character will possess a deity. You will be locked inside the deity’s body, unable to get out, for a limited period of time. During this time you will have full power over that deity’s magic. You can use it to do anything you like – go wild! This is your time to be the IC admin. You can set quests for other players, grant powers, set hurricanes loose on Shaman, and generally do as you please. Just be aware that anything you do can be undone by the admins after your time is up. This year, there's a little twist. Omni has been playful with his magic again! Your character's reflection will be their own, not that of their divine host. Every mirror, every puddle, every spoon will show them for who they truly are! What you make of this is up to you! SVEA is possessing Lorraine THOTH is possessing Rhaegar SAFFRON is possessing Mallos As previously, you will be judged on your creativity and writing ability, and also how you make use of this opportunity. For higher marks, ensure you make use of that twist! You will have just over two weeks inside your deity’s body, so until midnight BST 20th September. (This time-scale takes account of the fact that Merlin will be on holiday for the first week and the person possessing Rhaegar may want to thread with her. Or not...they may not love me, I don't know!) Finally, and most important of all: have fun! Other faeries will see your character's reflection, not the deity's. The two images don't match up for anyone. Questions Asked in Previous Years. My character has a familiar. Will they maintain their telepathic link? It’s completely up to you! In the past competitors have, or they haven’t. However you want to play this out is your call. You can also check out that deity’s posts: Mallos lives in the castle, Rhaegar at the Pantheon (with occasional visits to a cottage in The Kingswood) and Lorraine in the Pantheon. Does my character need to pretend to be that deity…? Not at all! We have in previous years asked competitors to not tell other characters IC that they are possessing that deity, because we thought it was more fun. However, Omniety is 5 years old now, and we think some of the characters may have cottoned on ;) It’s up to you how you play this out. |
