Florida- Connecticiut Tournament dates set Posted on September 5, 2015 at 11:57:00 AM by Jeff "Laca" Conway
The first ever St. Pete (and hopefully N Miami) vs. Connecticut Amateur Jai-alai Court Challenge dates have been set.
A home and home series will be held the weekends of December 4-6 and December 11-13. The exact locations are TBA pending player availability. All players would be welcome to participate in the event, kind of like the normal yearly event we have here.
Airfares to Hartford are a very modest $237 for roundtrip via Southwest or Jet Blue, two of the best airlines in the business.
Though plans are only in the rough stages, the event in Berlin, Connecticut would include our players to participate in their successful Friday night Spectacular 9 Event which often features over 40 players in it.
The actual tournament would be held on either December 5th or December 12th in Connecticut with the other Saturday the date of the event in St. Pete. If Miami is involved, the event would likely be held on the Sunday of that weekend.
An event like this would draw excitement and crowds to all 3 of the amateur jai-alai courts unlike ever seen before.
The actual tournament plans are still open for discussion to all NJAA members. Again, all players are welcome to come and participate in the event.
I will post more details as the emerge, but if you are interested in playing, please text ASAP your interest. Replies: There have been no replies.
