A quick statement about Judgements/Re-Judgements
IP: 173.74.27.222

Hello LC!

We just wanted to clarify the reason for re-judgement. Before the past year or so, judgement were not really reviewed by another judge before posting the results. However, now all judgments are reviewed by one other judge before they are posted as results. It has been this way for a while now.

Thus, we wanted to reiterate the reason to request a re-judgement. Please keep in mind that another judge has already reviewed a judgement, and often times adjustments are made and discourse is had between judges at this time. Since judgement are more heavily reviewed and second-eyed, we are asking that you only ask for a re-judgement if you really feel that you were judged unfairly and that you think the end result should likely be different. Before a second judge even looks at a fight, the first one usually spends upwards of 4 hours of our free time on a fight. Then the second judge spends their time reviewing and making any criticisms of the judgement and then having the discourse with the other judge for any adjustments. Thus, asking for a re-judgement is going through this whole 4-5 hour process again, for another judgement that was already reviewed by another judge. If you really, really feel you were judged unfairly, do request a re-judgement! But we are asking that you do not ask just to see if you happen to get a result in your favor or just for additional criticisms. Please only request if you truly feel the results should have been different.

However, if you are just wanting extra criticism, tips, or assistance with learning how to fight, you can always ask for that separately from a re-judgement! That way someone can assist you in the areas that will best help you, and focus more time on improvement instead of the other factors that go into a re-judgement. You can ask for this even if you have never fought before too! We just wanted to post on here what goes into a judgement, and that if you are just wanting criticisms/things to improve upon, you can request those separately!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask a staff member!
