Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Sunset or Moonrise

She had gather all the supplies she could in preparation for her birthing and caring for her younglings until she saw it fit to temporarily leave them to get more. The past few days she had only emerged from her den to eat, and then she'd return and sleep. It was morning, past dawn but before sun high, when she started to feel something off. She stood up in her den, circling around twice, before trying to get more comfortable. She felt her abdominal muscles clench and release a few times. She whined anxiously, she spun a few more times not really sure what else to do. 'Should I howl, if I do who for? Dieloch? Perhaps, though I’m unsure if he's close enough to hear.' It was worth a try she decided, raising her maw to the roof of the den to call for him. She attempted to keep the panic and uncertainty out of her voice, but was unsure if she succeeded.

The contractions were becoming more, and more rapid. It wouldn't be long now, as she began pushing with them. She locked her jaw against the pain, and pushed; that is until she felt something give. Being as careful and gentle as she could, she begin cleaning her first born daughter; warming the pup with her tongue, and getting it to breathe on its own. her tan tipped ears pricked as she began to slightly panic the pup itself seemed fine was moving and breathing, but its mouth was silent of the normal squeaks and howls. Her daughter, her beautiful black and silver daughter, was mute. She didn't mind, she knew that mutes could still live fulfilling lives; but she must wonder what Dieloch would think.

She had just finished gently guiding her first born to her stomach with her maw, when the contractions started again. This time was harder than the last, and took long; sweat drenched her as hours seemed to pass. finally with one more push her first son was born into the world he was quite a bit bigger than his older sister, as he was cleaned he began his whimpering and yelps, as if to tell his mother he didn't suffer the same disability as his sister. Black and gold revealed coloration itself in his fur, as his blood to flow from his cleaning. Then nuzzled him to her stomach beside his sister. "You shall be named Kynėgi my son." She speaks softly to him even if he couldn't hear.

Despite exhaustion, when the contractions came it was easier than the toll her boy took on her body, only a few pushes before another beautiful girl was born. This one surprised her greatly as she cleaned the yowling pup, white; lots and lots of white, but as she continued to clean she found odd eruptions of color on the girl. Black and brown, silvery grey and bit of tan too. Satisfied with her cleaning she allows the youngest female to settle. "You shall be called Inanna, my little goddess."

She laid her head down breathing heavily, she really didn't know if she could take anymore, but it would seem that she had no say in the matter as the contractions started for the fourth and final pup. Weaker this time she pushed with the contractions in hopes it'll make things easier. When the pup was finally born she barely had enough strength left to clean him but he was striking black with flecks of silver and some gold too. When she was finished to bring him next to his siblings at her stomach. "Aeacus, my little god; this I name you." She laid her head back down with a grunt, before calling for Dieloch; who she hoped would made it, and was waiting at the den's entrance. "I leave our firstborns daughter's name to you, choose it well." She spoke in a whisper before the darkness shrouded her vision completely.
