She chuckles, apparently not offended at all that I would find it odd to be a healer. Instead she starts explaining that Tobias wll return with injuries and she would help heal them faster. I shrug my shoulders lightly and scowl. "I was always taught that if you can't heal as nature intended then maybe you weren't supposed to. Survival of the fittest, as they say." I'm just being honest, letting her know how Eric and Seline have taught me from birth. We have never turned to a healer and in all his days on this earth, he has never turned to one, instead letting his injuries heal as they may. She smiles, seemingly very satisfied with her job and I guess that's one good thing about it. At least she feels useful, even if I don't see the point. Suddenly her facial expression turns serious and she starts to speak again. I tilt my head, brows furrowing as I listen to this concept I hadn't thought of. Poison?
My eyes narrow a little, knowing she doesn't mean it as a threat but even so, my body tenses at just the idea of someone slipping something into my food. I sit back and make a huffing noise. "Good thing I eat my food fresh. Someone would have to be very creative to slip something into a dead wolf. And I only kill the strong healthy looking ones." I add on as a response for if someone were to poison the live wolf and leave it for someone to eat. I smirk a little, giving her another look. "Even so, I get your point. Perhaps I'll have to learn a little about these other plants some time, if you have the time, of course." It never hurts to have a back up plan in case a straight forward assault doesn't get the job done. She smiles again, the conversation already feeling lighter as she starts speaking of her mother. I scowl at the thought of her being called that, my tail twitching at agitation as my brows furrow. "No one should have the right to call you broken. I've always heard that when you lose an ability, your body responds by gaining ten fold in other abilities. Nothing is broken unless you're dead."
She looks at me almost indulgingly as I speak of the alpha and avenging her death. Maybe she would and maybe she wouldn't but I'd like to think the best of my mentor and trainer. And I'd like to think her pack means more to her than that. At her next words, I stand to my feet, my tail wagging, eager at the chance to be helpful, especially to one as infamous as Tobias. I nod with a grin of anticipation. "Of course. You don't want an old corpse, especially if you don't know what killed it or when. Fresh is the only way to go. I'll bring it to your den tonight. I won't let you down."
