Question 1: Where did they build Hadrian’s Wall?
“Miss, are you alright? Are you even awake? This is truly not the time to be sleeping!”
Maybe she had just given birth, maybe she was exhausted but she could at least manage a little bit of consciousness for me couldn’t she? I scowled slightly, violet and orange eyes narrowed upon her form, the scent of birthing blood still within the air as my ashy grey and Angel marked form rested within the entrance to the den, offering her space and yet close enough to offer assistance should it be needed. For the amount of blood I was willing to assume there had been a little tearing, if anything, nothing too critical when it should be considered she had delivered four children, a large litter……and no father in sight. Hmmm. Yet another deadbeat dad. Not surprising really, they were rather a common thing unfortunately. Truly I almost felt for the girl, having been sweet-talked by some male no doubt before he simply did what he desired and left her out in the cold. At least she had the pack, that was something. Maybe I shouldn’t be so judgemental- though I never truly was your typical healer. Really I was designed to be a warrior and yet that had never captured my attention truly, my large, tall, toned frame crouching further down now in an effort to prod her softly with my nose and solicit a response.
“It’s Hadrian, Glorall’s healer, can you actually hear me or not?”
Either way I was going to have to look at her, although truly I’d rather she be awake for such an examination. The children, at least, looked healthy, although a number of the tests to be run upon them would not occur until later and they were old enough to be assessed for deaf and blindness, they did however, appear to be free of body malformation. That was satisfying at least. I nudged at the female once more, waiting again for some sort of response.
