Not many things were known about the fields, because no one had ever bothered to come and seek out the truth that lies within the tall grass. Everyone that was not interested in joining the pack stayed away. Perhaps out of fear that Tobias might grab them. It is true, he could, he was not one that was kind to trespassers, and yet, no one bothered to give the creature a chance. In fact most of the wolves that called Asteraia home were wolves that would most likely never have an outsider wolf be comfortable with their presence. Some of the wolves here found that eating their same species was quite delicious while those that lived in Moladion would wish to destroy those kind of wolves. No one seemed to understand that even though the prey population needed to be handled, the same thing could be said about the predators, after all they all had to eat – and an overpopulated land with more wolves weren’t ideal. Though that didn’t mean the wolves here that ate their own understood this either...some just wanted a tasty snack and a wolf just happened to be the innocent bystander. Not many things were known about Tick Tock herself and she would like it to remain that way.
Eden’s presence was quite puzzling. She had not done anything to his pack nor did she have any intention to do anything wrong with any other pack. They had kept her at peace and her pack had gone unharmed by others – and she meant to keep it that way. She had no interest in creating an empire full of dark wolves, although her membership was heavy on wolves of that kind – but they had not suggested to her their wish to spread across the land like a sinister shadow. Whatever her pack wanted she would oblige to what they required of her. She had protected them. She along with the others hunted and provided the pack food. She even trained one how to fight. She was an Alpha that made sure her pack would be okay- because she believed it was part of her job. Always she would listen to them and do what needs to be done. None had the desire to expand and haunt other parklands...if they did...then she would have heard of it. There was another wolf that was wanting such a thing and yet she was weak...foolish...incapable of gathering up enough followers to do her bidding. Tick Tock would always be the Alpha that did as what was required of her – and right now she wanted to keep them all safe from any threats. With Eden at her doorstep questioning why a lowly prisoner would try and get his pack was enough to set her on edge and view him as a target now. It would be best if Eden did not show himself as a threat and his questioning brought out an honest remark from the scarred Alpha.
“I have no intention of stretching Asteraia’s influence to other packs. This is a place for wolves that are different and unaccepted by others- there is no need to stretch ourselves to other places, when we have our own haven.”
Silently she stood watching Eden with every move he made. It was of no surprise to her that he would want to come and question her. It is true that the red-eyed she-wolf did carry Asteraia’s scent, as she was a prisoner, but the two were hardly friendly. Though why she would go after Eden and his beach pack she did not know, not realizing that perhaps Fiammetta wanted a pack of wolves to call her own. The beach pack hard been dormant and she had thought about taking the beach, but that was just it....it was a beach and Tick Tock was not interested in living in that particular type of landscape. Not knowing if Eden would catch on that she was indeed telling the truth she decided that perhaps she should offer him reassurance – proving again she had no inclination to take what was his – but at the same time she wanted to keep all those that dwelled within Asteraia safe.
“To show what I mean as I say perhaps we can install a treaty or an alliance. Neither wolf from both packs will take the other’s members nor even challenge the other for the ownership of opposite territory.”
