STRACKHis chest is heavy in disappointment. It's a new feeling, but Strack is quick to determine that it is his least favorite of all emotions. While he hadn't been able to protect the Dunes (perhaps protect is a strong word for a territory that only held one resident) from the grasp of Maslakhat and Valve, the mottled stallion is aware that his opponent had memories from the Dunes that he, Strack, did not. They goaded him into leaving, as he had expected them to, but the dun stallion had never intended to refuse to leave once they had redeemed their throne.
The stallion hadn't had much luck in terms of friends on the Lost Islands, having done more to cause waves than to calm the tide, but there was one acquaintance that he had parted with on good terms and Strack could think of no other to ask a favor of. Kjartan had secured his place within Paradise shortly after their meeting, and so Strack had ventured to the island of Atlantis with his head held low and his eyes dull with humiliation. Kjartan had offered him so much more than a home upon his arrival, and instead abdicated his throne so that Strack may rule once more.
Thankfully, for the pair of them, the residents did not seem to be as attached to their former ruler as the residents of the Dunes had been to Gabbar and his trusty sidekick. Briefly, Strack wonders if Maslakhat will hand the throne back to Gabbar, or if Valve will punish the previous ruler and keep her nephew at the helm of the Dunes. However, it matters not, especially as Strack catches sight of a flaxen chestnut along the shoreline in the middle of his wanderings.
"Oh, hello," he draws his head up and offers the mare a forced smile so that he may not seem so defeated, "I've not seen you around here before, though I've only just arrived myself. My name is Strack, and you are?"
