He’d been quiet for quite some time, especially since returning to the place that had been his home for so long. It called him back, it called him forth, and he was the wandering heart. Here and there, there and gone again. There hadn’t been much to keep him here since Calista had disappeared, but he tired to be around for his family as much as possible. His heart may never love again, but he had other kinds of love to give. He had other roles to play. His children were here, somewhere. His brothers, his sisters, his nieces, his nephews. He would take care of them. He would take care of his younger sister’s pack. Swallowbane’s feelings, over time, had changed. Had shifted. Now he didn’t know what to feel.

Bane kept a quiet eye on the queen, especially as her sides grew round. He knows, as usual, when to move to the stash he kept and take what he needed. Valerian root. Poppy would be later, if he needed it… by the time Bane is back to the mouth of his sister’s den, he realizes that they probably won’t be necessary. Still, he has a mouthful of the funny tasting roots, looking rather comical, with dirt hanging here and there.

”You okay, little sister?” Swallowbane peers around his nephews, strangers as they were, to look into the den. Jericho is there as well, and the healer tips his head at the supposed brother-in-law. It’s gentle, though the man is not his concern right now. There are children abound this season, but these are different. These belong to his sister. Swallowbane needs to make sure they’re okay, needs to make sure that Dany is okay. That was what siblings were for, right? Supposedly. He would try to do a better job. He would try to be here more. Right now, he was here for their health and safety.
