It is quite difficult to read her face. Tick Tock was not a creature that would allow her thoughts to be exposed in such a physical manner. Rather she liked to keep her thoughts hidden and contained within her own mind and she didn’t necessarily want everyone to know what she thought. The only time anyone would know what was going on in that twisted mind of hers were the ones that were privileged to hear her out. It was a rarity to know what she was thinking and extremely rarer to be that lucky wolf that had that ability. It was to her advantage that her face was mauled, those deep scars conflicting with the muscle movements that pertained to her showing her emotions, and in a way her thoughts, and she used this strength to her advantage. Dark sapphire eyes remained locked on Halo unconcerned with how he was studying her. She was quite a patient creature, misunderstood of course, and yet she cared little with what he thought of her. He was deaf. He was weak and it was taking a lot of her own will power to not just destroy him.
His frank statement was met with nothing but complete silence on her part. Being deaf was not only a weakness, but it showed he was different. The fields was supposed to be a place that would embrace wolves that were unique and different from their own kind. It was true she was taking in wolves that ate their own kind, but she had also taken in a druid wolf that saw and believed in things that were extremely different from the status quo. This young wolf before her was handicapped and yet he had endured for as long as he could on his own. With a nod of her head she would take a few steps towards him, brushing her head along his shoulder so that he held her scent...so that he would belong. Bringing her head in front of him now she would speak as she looked into his eyes.
“I will be fair and give you a chance. Find Cuirass and you two go on a hunt, let me see if you are trainable.”
Turning around she would begin to walk away from him. She had accepted another into their ranks. She was sure that the other wolves would wonder just why she would do such a thing and yet at this moment she did not care. She would give the boy a chance to prove himself and show that he could be worthy. She would provide him the tools necessarily, but he needed to do most of the work. Swinging her neck around her unreadable face was pointed in his direction as she spoke again.
“I am sorry that the former Alpha took your home. I heard she killed the older Alpha, but if I can make up for Jaidah’s crime then wolves that were from here can return.”
Turning her head back forward she headed away from him and back deeper within the fields – indeed some wondered just what truly went on in that head of hers.
