Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

There is a contentment being surrounded by those closest to him. Tzadkiel was his only brother and for that Vortigern shared a close bond with him even if his brother did not feel the same. Honestly Vortigern was not sure exactly what Tzad felt since his brother was so quiet and contemplative. It took a little cajoling to get him into play but he could do it if he tried and he always loved the times spent with his siblings. Which makes him think, offhandedly of course, how did his father ever play with his aunt Celeste? He had found he did not like her very much and wasn't really looking forward to seeing her again. But if he could see his grandma he would be thrilled and wouldn't that be a story to tell his sisters? After all, they hadn't come to the call so clearly they hadn't wanted to come.

He does not pause in their fast pace, does not ask Tzad if they need to slow down. His brother always endured and Vortigern had deduced he didn't like to put others out with his size so he didn't say anything if only to make him happy. Scarlett jaunts beside of him and he grins at her with his tongue hanging out of his mouth deliberately to get her to giggle. Namira asks and Vortigern is not shy about his suggestion, quickly agreed upon with Tzad and Scarlett's answer, and his tail flails back and forth in his excitement despite the concerned look that Namira gives them. A long trip out sounded fun and a trip to Diveen even more so. He jolts forward as they begin walking again, orange eyes flicking back and forth to catch new sights when the sound of coyote fills the air. He pauses, uncertain, and his ears flick back.

He did not know what it was that called and he felt almost panicked at not knowing, his gaze swinging wide to his brother then Scarlett, and his fur begins to stand on end. Despite not knowing what it is at first he recognizes it as something predatory and his protective instincts - never far gone - fling to life. He steps forward with his tail erect and his body tense while she talks. "It won't get us," he says firmly with a low growl. He would throw himself in front of any of them it if came to it. Never would he see them hurt if he was around to protect them.

Onward they go after one of the other two (or none) answer her question and then she mentions healing to which he flicks a glance at the berries but frowns, having no clue about it either. So he merely shrugs his shoulders forward and waits to see if his quiet brother or lovely friend will know.
