Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

He is taller than the others, his legs far longer, that red-marked ebony wolf forced to slow his natural stride in an effort to remain behind Voltaire as he tracked, eyes of blue and gold resting eaily upon his companions as he moves to circle back once more and take up the rear- assuring the youngest of them, Hyrule, remained between himself and the aged warrior. Achilles, he thinks, would be rather displeased were any harm to come to Hyrule. Maybe the boy was a brilliant political genius, but he was still young and indeed Guard is mindful of that, watchful of him, his own powerful form by far the best equipped to deal with such things as youthful muscle rolls and coils beneath his ebony pelt. His mind is fixated wholly upon the task at hand, the distraction of his young family cased aside- at least for now, though they linger so readily within the forefront of his mind all the same, bringing a grin to his lips even at the mere thought of his boys. He must tell Achilles, later, share this news of his newborn sons with him, though for now his mind returns to the task at hand with growing concern.

He is a peaceable creature, despite his training for war, his mind ill at ease with this turn of events. Missing pack members was not to be taken lightly, this Zeus creature yet again seeming to attempt to strike against the Angel pack, the heckles upon his spine given to rise slightly in agitation. He remains alert all the same- form slowing now as Voltaire began to search, gaze flicking from the aged dark warrior, to Hyrule and back, the white male so strikingly similar to Heyel that it very near made his chest tighten to look upon him before his red tipped years moved to flicker back to Voltaire as he spoke. Zeus came here often? Guardian allows his own muzzle to lower to the earth, if only for a moment, inhaling the scents as Voltaire continued to speak.

“Mushrooms? Why would ‘ee be wantin’ mushrooms? Dun reckon he should be eatin ‘dem. Maybe das why he be so….snarky.”

His lip lifts, ever so slightly, Achilles sure to have appreciated the joke though perhaps it is slightly misplaced in the situation, Hyrule offering him a look entirely condescending. For all his own intelligence, Guardian is not as Achilles, not made of political thought and mind and even now he is content to merely act as guard, to watch and listen as Hyrule moves to speak.

I suggest we go and find out if he is truly there or not, I can go alone if need be, I can go unseen and report back. This use of mushrooms concerns me though, I have trained as a healer long enough to understand them. If Zeus really is there then I can report back and Achilles can send the rest of our warriors.
