This young maiden and tied herself into a place in Taika’s mind where friendship would be instant and instinctive. A shared understanding of the world was not something to pass up lightly.
Neverland followed her lead, jumping and shifting through the trees with practiced ease. Laughter had begun to bubble once again from the russet woman’s lips. Each time her paws touched the earth she launched herself back into the air, propelling herself forward. The wind in her face and through her fur, she did not care at all if they were following any kind of path. She giggled even more as Neverland sprang forward to take the lead, taking them down a muddier path. Her grin grew, there were so many different kinds and fairies and dangers in the deeper waters of the marshes and swamps. As they ran together, Taika new she had found a friend who would help her take the mundane and make it marvelous.
