It is a wry grin that lifts at Guardian’s lips in response to his Mothers words, that wonderfully handsome face upturned in amusement as he moves to seat himself before his mother now. He had fitted beneath her legs once and against her chest, a hard thing to imagine truly, the boy taller now then even Azrael, towering over almost every wolf within Diveen. One day, perhaps, Hektor would be the same though indeed given the size of Aviias it was perhaps unlikely.

“I always knew I was dar best of all me siblings eh? Reckon ya always loved me da best.”

He grins at her teasingly now, knowingly entirely what she had meant and yet seeing fit hustle her all the same as he chuckles between his teeth and Hektor sees fit to launch himself at his grandmother over and over in either a bid for attention or simple, uncontrollable exuberance. His own eyes of striking blue and molten gold follow his Mothers now to rest upon the snow and silver boy all dusted with Angel Marks as he races about in the pure joy of life and youth- his gaze falling at last on the boys stub of a tail as it waved. Andromeda’s words say his own features frown, if only momentarily, perhaps having misinterpreted his Mother’s attempts to dismiss the issue of her tail-less grandchild. Gendry, after all, had managed a tail, why Hektor should be any different remained to be seen and yet there is a youthful innocence in Guardian all the same as his eyes lift to his own Mother now to regard her with slight bewilderment. Of what occurred within a female during the creation of a child Guardian truly hardly knew, it was not his place to know, he is sure, such business is for females and yet the wording of his Mother has seen a look of contradiction briefly cross his features as he frowns.

“I dun reckon he made himself all alone, I reckon I ‘elped a bit, after all I was da one dat used ma….er……ya know…. yar get it Ma. Rckon I ‘elped is all I’mma sayin’.”

Had he been capable of blushing he surely would have, the young male getting carried away with his words momentarily, fortunately cutting himself off before finishing his sentence and whatever that might well have been about to be, the boy hurriedly looking away in the shame of bringing up such affairs before his own Mother. Hektor, fortunately, had drawn much of the attention to himself, repeatedly colliding with Andromeda until the black female finally saw fit to pay him attention, his own body twisting and wriggling in utter delight at this attention, throwing his form down in a play bow to match Andromeda’s own as Guardian simply looked on with quiet ease. Andromeda’s introduction is met with a look of wide-eyed wonder, those beautiful teal and violet eyes meeting her own, Andromeda, after all, was surely the longest word he had ever heard and that, alone, makes it special.

Yes…what….remained to be seen, the boy seeming to merely find that shouting ‘yes’ was delightful response. Either he agreed with her statement, or found her name extremely pleasing as he proceed to shout his agreement, lunging suddenly forward to bat at her face in play- having lost all interest in his Father entirely now that Grandmother had arrived. Andromeda’s question about the lizard sees his attention divert nearly immediately towards the rock, following her gaze though hardly knowing what he is looking for, had he seen a lizard before?

“Nar ya haven’t Hek.”
Guardian is quick to correct his son, Hektor spinning to face him now almost indignantly.

“Yar really haven’t, imma tellin’ ya, look at it, ya ain’t never seen one.”

His blue gold yes roll momentarily as Hektor seems to consider arguing once more- the sudden movement of the lizard however, ends all arguments, Hektor’s breath intaking sharply in awe at this slowly moving creature, something he has never seen before! He lowers himself almost instantly, creeping forward a few paces before all patience desserts him and he plunges forward, scrabbling and sliding all over the rock in an effort to grasp the creature that has long since hidden within the cracks, the child barking loudly before attempting to dig it out with purpose. For his part, Guardian simply strolls forward once more, coming to stand beside Andromeda once more, speaking again, though loud enough for his Mother alone to hear.

“Have ya spoken to Pa of late eh?”

He pauses, offering her a chance to answer before speaking softly once more.

“Dare as been some…..issues wit da pack, ‘Chilles is worried a bit. Dare is a wolf, Zeus, he’s been makin’ some trouble for da pack, we dunno what he wants, not really, he tried a few years ago but Isola ended whatever it was he wanted. He’s come back now dat Isola ain’t Queen anymore. He killed Sulan, Ma, he attacked Zen and Amir and……before she got pregnant he…..he be attackin me Aviias.”

Guardian paused briefly now, allowing his Mother to take in this information, eyes looking briefly away from her to gather his own thoughts again before continuing.

“He attacked Aviias because….of me. He knew I’d been seenin’ ‘er, he ‘ates Angels I tink, or just Amir, I ain’t all dat sure but he smelt me on Aviias an he attacked her because of me, he don’t know about Gendry and Hektor an I worry. They are safe in da pack I am sure, I am, but ‘Chilles has asked me to go after dis Zeus, me an Voltaire and dat youngin’ Hyrule. I ‘ave ta go away for a few days ta….take care of dis an I dun like to leave me sons. Aviias…..she ain’t no fighter, maybe…..maybe ya could get Pa to stop by and check on ‘em for me eh? Just for a few days while I go find dis Zeus eh?”

He has not, it would seem, stated the obvious though it is surely clear enough. Voltaire is aged, no longer as strong as he used to be and at barely two years of age Hyrule was not a true warrior by anyone’s measure, Guardian alone, the sole defence for this mission against a creature who had already killed, the boy perhaps….attempting to calm any fears his Mother may hold in this regard, seeking to focus her attention instead upon the children and their needs.

“Maybe ya and Pa can just…watch over ‘em for me eh? While Imma away. Please, Ma?”
