Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

The boy before me looks like he could be fun but he's gotta get past all the confusion first. He seems determined to look as engaging as possible but he has yet to answer my question so I merely blink at him, waiting for it to sink in. Maybe he's a little slow?

He turns from me as I tell him to go first, instead looking at the hole and all but leaping toward it when he turns to bend his forehand down and put his butt in the air playfully. He seems excited when I do the same, though the confusion crosses his face once more at my question. He tries to say something, stuttering over the words but now it's my turn to look confused, tilting my head as I curl one lip back in a "huh?" expression toward him. "Lepus? What the heck is that?" I question him curiously.

He tries again, telling me that whatever it is, it jumps or something but that we can eat it! Now I'm excited, my tail wagging again. "How do we catch this...lepus?" I try the word out myself, figuring that if that's what he calls it, it must be the creature's name. The minute he said food, I was game! The wolf leaps forward to put his nose to the hole before turning to me with a playful question. I grin, throwing my head up proudly. "That's not even a question. I KNOW I can catch it."

I'm just about to ask how to get it out of the hole when suddenly I hear the tell tale sound that we're not alone. I turn on my heels, ears flat back and my hackles wavering as something leaps out of the bushes. My tail goes over my spine automatically, the protective streak strong on me as I put myself between my new friend and the thing...but then I recognize my sister's laughter and I feel my body relax as my lips relax into a smirk of humor. "Very funny, Samia. You've just volunteered yourself to get the lepus out of the hole so we can catch it!" I say my plan proudly, like I didn't just think it up out of nowhere.

OOC: Oh, I don't mind at all. The more, the merrier! (:
