Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

I know that my sister loves me just as much as I love her and I know she would do anything for me just as I would for her. I wonder sometimes if I were really in danger if she would come out of her shell to try to save me. Not that I ever plan on having to get saved by a girl. Of all the embarrassing moments!

I have heard the stories of my uncles and how a big bear ended their lives. I swear that some day I will live to kill a bear in their honor and put its skin in my den. Perhaps one day Samia can help me in this.

I try to joke with her about going in the water but she doesn't seem to be falling for it. Instead she urges me to go with her to see the dam and so I run along with her. At one point, I trip and it's a close one but I brush it off as she races to me, shaking it off and taking off again. She seems to race closer to me now but I don't mind.

When I see the beaver, I can't help but think of the hunt. As a usual guy, I always think of food so when I see his meaty haunches, I just see dinner. How excited mom and dad would be to see us bring that home! And so I race for him, grinning when Samia geta involved and tells me that she'll beat me. I snort and launch forward, eager to beat her. The beaver looks up, freezing and I grin only more. This is really our chance!

Suddenly my sister trips and falls and my mouth widens as I try to skid to a stop as she barrels into my path. I trip over my own awkward paws, falling right over her and before I know it, I'm colliding into a cold wall of water. It stings on first contact and I gasp in shock, inhaling water and I cougha nd sputter, urging it out of my lungs as the tide rolls me back up to the surface.

I start to paddle instinctively though I doubt I'm any good at it. My eyes open though the water threatens to blind me as I gasp in a huge lungful of air before being pulled back under by the current. I try to look for Samia, a sudden panic rising up in my chest. What happened? How did I get here? And how the heck do I get out?
