Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

I'm glad that Eden seems eager to learn from me. While I know that I still have a lot to learn, I do know that I have learned a lot still in just the time I've been away from Moladian before I came back. I wonder vaguely what Eden wants with this Jaidah wolf. Does he seek her out for some sort of alliance or something else? Is it a trap he's wanting? I'm willing to do whatever he needs to get him the information he must be seeking.

I know that he could laugh at me for wanting to go after her. What if she tried to attack me? Who's to say I could defend myself? But instead he merely arches a brow and looks at me almost as if impressed and this gives me new confidence. I want to keep building that confidence he has in me, gain his trust in me and my skills. Sure, I may not know what I'm walking into but I'm willing to chance it to learn new stuff. Who knows? Perhaps meeting with this Jaidah will prove worth the risk.

I listen eagerly as he tells me that indeed he does want to meet with her and I wag my tail, glad to help. Then he offers a new perspective, that the other packs need to be thought of as well and I tilt my head in contemplation. He is right, of course. We need to hold neutrality, not mkae it look like Glorall is allying with an enemy. I nod. "Indeed, a fine line we must not cross." I try to think.

"If it is merely a home she is seeking, we can give her that and take away the threat from the other packs but if it is power...we must find a way to compromise and still keep our reputation of neutrality with the other packs." I'm merely thinking out loud right now. I hope he doesn't mind.

He seems eager about my next idea and my smile only grows, glad that I have ideas to offer. He tells me to keep him updated and I'm suddenly eager to meet with new wolves of Glorall and see what they think. His idea of a hunt sounds appetizing as well. "A hunt sounds good. I'll certainly participate. As for an outing, perhaps something fun for the pups of Glorall and any aspiring guardian?" A good way for someone to gain rank in the pack, I think. Of course, more than one adult would be recommended for a group of children because I know from firsthand experience how fast those suckers can scatter. I was once one myself, after all.

"I will look for this Jaidah and tell you what I find out. I'll also seek out some members and see what they think of their home and gain their input. You will be hearing from me soon, Eden. I look forward to working with you. Anything else before I set out?" I tilt my head, eager to listen.
