Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

I have to start making new friends in Glorall, getting to know my pack mates and learning about their lives. I like to think of it as a big story telling ring. I can keep up with them and start to learn them all so well that I can tell how they're feeling by a simple facial expression. Wouldn't that be cool? My sister Viora might not think so since she's always been more about physical stuff like violence but I love to talk and more than that, I love to listen. Okay, so the listening thing came with age because mostly I've always been a talker and I still can be at times but I've learned to shut my mouth and listen too and I think that's key to diplomacy.

The sea breeze is refreshing as it sweeps from across the ocean. I could sit out here on the shore for days and just soak up the summer sunshine. But alas, there's tasks to be done if I want to prove my worth to Eden. I watched my brother Solitaire rejoin the ranks and in just a season or two, he learned enough about herbs and the pack to become the witch of Glorall. Of course he's mysteriously disappeared since and I can only hope nothing happened to him. But in those two seasons, he proved to me that I can make a difference just like he did. And so I will.

I pause as I catch sight of the old driftwood log that's settled in the sand on the beach for a long time. My sister and I used to tackle each other around it and play and hide when we were younger while my mother Enigma watched from the top of the log. Good times. I sigh in nostalgia. But then I notice another wolf getting closer to the log and I prick my ears in interest. Here is another wolf I've never met before. What better time than now? My tail wags enthusiastically as I trot toward the wolf. They seem to want to settle down on the log, perhaps for a nap? But come on, now is the time to visit and get to know one another!

I tug a big grin onto my lips as I get closer. "Hi, there!" I call out. "I'm Tristan, who are you?"
