The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Return to Lunar Children

I know that we have each grown in our own way since childhood and I'm glad to say I can talk to my sister the way I never could before. I don't know if it was me yelling at her that day on the borders that was the breakthrough or even me fighting her on the battlefield and then inviting her back to the pack with me. Either way, I don't regret any of it because it brought us where we are today. She seems much calmer. I wonder if that's from Elijah or from having puppies. I like the change. She seems almost satisfied with her life and I remember a time when nothing would satisfy her besides bloodshed.

I do scowl a bit as she speaks, my head tilting as I look her over. "Surely they mean more to you than just a continued bloodline. It's not about a reputation, it's about feeling complete. If being a mother doesn't make you whole then what's the point?" I add a small smirk. "Though I think you still have a ways to go if you want to beat me in numbers. You know I have eleven, right?" My eyes glimmer, hoping to bring the conversation back to lighter conversation.

She tells me where Elijah is next and I nod in understanding. "Is he good with the kids?" I can't help but ask, my eyes full of curiosity. At her questions, I chuckle again and snort. "She knows I can handle myself. I came to see how the world is changing. I do get bored with patrolling sometimes, you know."
