Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Khaleesi
i am every dream you lost and never found

Another year had passed. Another year that Khaleesi spent wandering the freelands and lingering on the borders of the packlands as she passed from one place to the next. She was once told the wind was a fickle thing and that it made no sense as to why she followed it instead of remaining in one place. But she was a free spirit and had no other guidance in her life. There was nobody to keep her tied to one place. And it's not like she hadn't gone looking for that one either. She's witnessed a couple of gatherings where a lucky few managed to find those ties, those bonds, that most wolves seek out. She unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, was never one of those. And well last year, she missed out on it all together because she was actually a captive of Spirane.

Though the few wolves she met there were kind to her, the queen especially, she still had never crossed into any of the packlands before then and she wasn't sure what to think of her time there. She's actually thought about going back on occasion, cause there was a part of her that liked the idea of having some place to go to each night. Something to strive for. Someone to please. But that was only a passing thought that was quickly whisked away with each new seasonal breeze. Each season brought new and exciting things for her to explore and learn about. New experiences and playful antics.

The changing of colors in fall and the crunch of the leaves beneath her paws. The way the lands fall so silent when it snows that its almost eerie yet entices her to mess up its perfect blanket. Falling asleep to the first rain of spring and watching the flowers and trees bloom in brightly colored blossoms. Or taking a refreshing dip in the lake or ocean just as summer reaches it peak. And that in fact is one of the reasons in which she finds herself standing on the sandy shores of Glorall. The other was because she had heard whispers in her travels that the first wolf she came across, Eden, in fact resided here. So maybe with some luck she would run into him.

Her black nose is hovering just above the golden sand trying to decipher where the borderlines were as she meanders down closer to the shore. She didn't want to cross over them, even if she did know him. But the sound of the waves gently rolling up and across the sand was so welcoming on this summer day. Lifting her nose from the sand, she begins to look around having picked up the scent of some other animals around here. Lilac eyes rest on the large body of a bull seal slumbering not too far off from where she stood. Though mind you, she was unaware of exactly what that creature was since she had never seen one before. But her inner voice told her to stay clear of it just from it's sheer size alone.

Tucking her tail just slightly, she moves a bit further down the shore away from the creature and her bushy grey tail begins to wag as she draws closer to the waves. Her attention is quickly diverted though as a bright red crab scurries in front of her. Again, it was something she had never seen before and she just had to take a closer look. She follows it and tries to paw at it playfully as it begins to snap its claws at her. With each snap she tosses her head up and barks at it. Then it continues on its way and she tries to pounce on it. To her this was a game and she wasn't about to let the little critter get away.
