Things had been going well over the course of the spring. Sure Taviora was not full of the paw steps of children, but things were moving along well. Mikken and Namira were well on the way to achieving a rank together and his brother was officially his new War Shield and he thought it was well deserved. After what had happened that day and he fought with the three loners that had attacked them Amoxtli knew he deserved it. They had their talk where he was open with how he felt during his battle with Jaidah his desire in those moments to kill her and how he was not ashamed of those emotions. He knew he wasn’t his father in that regard and he hoped Jaidah learned that as well. It seemed she had seen it as since then she hadn’t come back. She knew he would fight to kill if it came to protecting Taviora and protecting them. Otherwise perhaps he was like his father. He just wanted peace and quiet otherwise but once threatened he would fight back.

However he didn’t expect this. Of course he had heard that the group who had attacked them a year ago taken over and now lived in Asteraia but he never expected the scent on his border. He was calm not filled with nerves like the time Jaidah had come to his borders to challenge him. He moved across his forest on his brown toed paws with all the ease and purpose he could muster. He appeared through the trees his tail not raised above his back as his mismatched eyes found the form of the new Asteraia Queen. His eyes set upon her hardened but not angry just yet he wouldn’t pass judgement on her until she explained her reasoning for being her. Who knows perhaps she was here to atone, to apologize for what she did to Levi he had been sparse ever since that day like something broke inside of him or snapped. Amoxtli didn’t know but he was certain he would find out.

”I am sure you know my name, Amoxtli, Guardian of the Forest. What is your name and why is it you have come to our forest today?” He was moved alongside of Shiloh now happy for her presence with her here his senses were heightened. He had fought with this female and her group once already and his body was on high alert. He would not attack first though, never would he unless the challenge deemed right. But she wasn’t challenging she stood alone on his borders and his nose told him she had no company that he could scent at least. He would see what she wanted and go from there. He was the leader and the protector and he would do his best to keep his forest safe.
