Tithe watched Eden watch and study him, keeping his posture and expression in the well-mannered poise that came naturally to him. He was in this man’s territory, and also a stranger, though hopefully the later would prove false in time. The words the Alpha said brought and easy smile to the young man’s face. Eden was clearly an understanding and logical leader. He cared for his pack and saw wisdom in opportunity.
”There is a storyteller in Spirane who has volunteered to come to Glorall and host. She has experience in being around large groups and many pups. I’m sure some of our more protective mothers, possibly fathers, and curious adults may also follow for a chance to hear Sorcha, the Bard, tell a story. I, for one, will be present as well. If you are comfortable with that.” He spoke easily and clearly. Everything about him was honest and upfront. Tithe had nothing to hide and his intentions showed true. Honor ran deep to his core, but he understood if a wolf did not want such a large male lingering around their children, though he and Eden were roughly the same size.
While Tithe and Eden spoke of packly things, Taika had followed her nose into all sorts of interesting places. A trail had caught her attention but when she investigated the hole it led to a claw came frightfully close to closing on her soft nostrils. She snorted out the sand and jumped back to the group, attention flicking back to them. She chuckled at their conversation, knowing Tithe had asked her specifically to help watch over the pups due to her nature. Laughing eyes looked at Eden, just as honest as Tithe’s, though far more lively with a touch of mischievousness.
Tithe smiled at her before turning back to Eden. “Whether bonds between pups are forged or not, I hope it strengthens a bond between our packs. You mention there are few here with experience with multiple children. If nurturing wolves do not come and join you, perhaps a few would still be willing to visit and care-take.” He glanced at Taika, who finished his thought.
