Aithne's mind lends itself to what ifs - what if Ruvindra's line had ruled over Iromar liked she had mentioned? Would Diveen and Iromar have fostered such bad blood then? Praetor would certainly not be like he is now. Environments change a wolf; her's had made her harsh and sangfroid whereas Praetor was of a more kinder sentiment. Aithne did not doubt that her Emperor knew anger and knew austerity. She had felt his dismay when his father had been toppled from his throne. Felt his indignation and fury but also his fear and sadness. He was what made Aithne better, tempered her. A true soulmate. Their bond affords them constant connection and it was strong on both of their ends. In public Aithne was subdued in her vast love of Preator, putting on an air of indifference except for the slight brushes and constant knowledge of his presence. It was both a tactic to dissuade any potential enemies from trying to hurt him to get to her and also because Aithne sincerely wasn't sure just HOW to react.
