He appears to be accepting of my approach as I am eager to meet him and his response only solidifies what I had already assumed. First born or not, he was my brother, and I stepped forward to greet him in a more intimate manner that was appropriate for close family members. It had been too terribly long since I’ve been with them all, more so in regards to my own littermates, but an older brother would do just fine. I take a few steps back to keep a reasonable space between us again, both ears twitching as if they wished to hear his voice when his lips begin to form words once again.
A slightly heavy sigh is breathed from my lungs as he finishes, my eyes turning away from him momentarily before I answer. ”Miser factus sum et diu - sed hic multum placet. Daenerys suscepit me apertum est.””Unfortunately I have been away for a long time - but I do like it here a lot. Daenerys has accepted me with an open heart.” I speak so fluidly in Latin that one would not be able to tell of my hearing disability, however it is when common tongue comes into play that I falter. There is a sadness to my voice at the start of my reply, however a gentle smile appears as I tell of Daenerys and her kindness. Despite my troubled past I am still able to move on from it and the mountain is helping to further that process.
It is at which point that I smell her familiar scent and feel her brushing tenderly against my shoulder that I turn to see the mountain ruler herself. It is with a soft smile that I greet her in turn and watch as she speaks to my brother. It appears that there are matters of the two territories at hand and while none of it is my business at all, I will remain if only for the part of ‘guard dog’. Besides, if private matters were to be discussed then I could simply turn my gaze to another direction, an advantage for the alphas might I say. Despite the presence of my leader, I turn my speech to Achilles for he is much keener to Latin tongue and I do not wish to show my incompetence by fumbling over common words. ”Sequar comiter custodiaque texisset si necessarius. Nolo enim vos rimari negotium.””I will follow for company and watchfulness if needed. I do not wish to pry into any business you two have.”
Again I look to Daenerys with a softened gaze as I do not wish for her to think I am speaking ill of her in another tongue; surely Achilles will translate if need be. As she moves away from the glaring rays of the sun I, too, follow until I know of which area she is directed for. I pick up my pace so that I may jog ahead of them and ensure that the shaded area is secure before taking a seat near the edge of the trees.
