let’s get something straight: nathaniel was aware that he had children in spirane. he had been able to smell spirane all over anemone the night that they’d met. it was only logical to assume that after the repetition of their...fun, there would be pups as a result. that had been quite a long time ago, and now that his and naamah’s pups were practically grown, it would only be logical for his and anemone’s to be the same.

it was this thought that had nathaniel leaving the borders of glorall. since he’d stood guard at hecate’s den during her birthing and been around to watch eden’s mother give birth, he’d desired the bond that he’d never formed with oblivion and ansel. both of his boys had disappeared, which caused worry that plagued him constantly. he was hopeful, though, that anemone would be forgiving, and allow him to meet their children. if his memory served him correctly, anemone had been very kind. he could only hope that her kindness was still present.

as he set out from glorall, there was something bright and warm in his chest. as he made his way in the direction of the mountains, his thoughts strayed towards what his children were like, that is, if there was more than one. perhaps there would be a son and a daughter, or maybe a pair of boys and a girl. he was sure that they were all very attractive, perhaps they had his dark coloring or have his mother’s markings, or perhaps they were fair, like their mother. he wouldn’t care if they had three feet and half a tail. none of that would matter - he’d love them, he knew. what kind of wolves would they be? would they be soft, like their mother, or would they have his temper? curiosity burned and a deep affection welled within him for this children he had never met.

there was also anemone to think of. he recalled her fair coloration, though he’d forgotten the specifics. however, he remembered pink and yellow eyes and her deep kindness and the openness that she’d embraced him with. he was sure that she had loved their child(ren) and raised them well, and that thought soothed his concern for them being fatherless. perhaps she wouldn’t want him to meet their children, or perhaps she wouldn’t even speak to him. as he came to stand at the edge of spirane’s borders, his ears twitched low to his skull with a nervous whine. he didn’t want to impose himself into their lives, especially since he was sure his was unwanted. he wanted to try, even if he was rejected. it would not hurt to try.
