Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Anger is manifested in the individual who spurns love
And opts instead for fury.
Nothing intimidated Keturah, the embodiment of wrath feared not even the inevitable, cold touch of death that one day consumed all. She does not flinch under Eden's cold gaze or the flash of fang he offers in his sneer. "You could be just a toy to me," he replies, giving her some respect by responding in the latin tongue. "be weary lest you become broken too." Immediately Keturah turned to face him, her tiny body seeming to raise as her hackles bristled. Steely gold eyes cut into Eden with a ferocity that would one day make even alphas bow before her. "Fortasse confracta sed numquam cuiusquam toy." (Maybe I become broken, but I will never be anyone's toy.) She spit, her words like fire that could burn even a dragon's hide. Abel had let himself become a toy when he was broken, he did not fight, he stayed pathetic and weak. Keturah would never lower herself to that status, a daughter of Ava was greater than all, even Eden himself would have to recognize that.

Eden's eyes momentarily left her but quickly returned with a new found curiosity. "Show me what you think playing with a toy looks like." he says to her, and she glances to him momentarily before she takes off after her brother. Her nips succeed in speeding the lame boy up. As if on cue, two other females arrived. One older who moved to stand beside Eden but was quickly ignored by Keturah. The other one, a pup their age, caught the cold gold gaze of the daughter of Ava. Her gaze is challenging towards the smaller white girl, daring her to say or try something. This was a family afair, the girl of wrath cared little for the presence of others. Maybe it was mean, but Keturah was setting the boundaries very straight: She was the dominant one, she was greater. It was how wolves operated socially, they either enforced themselves or coward.

Only when it became apparent that the white girl was nothing more than a fly, a nuisance to be flicked off, did Keturah turn her attention to Abel, who tried his best to muster some form of bravery. "Says you," he fumbles, looking to Eden for some reassurance before shooting a look to his sister that was truly pathetic. She stepped closer, daring him to continue his charade. "The fact that you look to Eden for reassurance on your words proves to me how pathetic you are, you rely so heavily on others," she hissed, teeth flashing with her words that would hopefully hit home hard. If he ever expected to earn any respect, he needed to have confidence in himself.

"What do you know about moving? You're always hiding in the den!" he continued, quickly lowering down in preparation for the anger that was about to be unleashed onto him. Keturah was a storm, violent and not something to ever be messed with, unfortunately for the boy, he had done just that. She snarled, her daggers barely being restrained from digging into his soft flesh. "Stultus!"(Idiot!) She barked, pushing herself closer and closer to him to get him to back up as she loomed over him. "You think I really hide away in the den all day?" She hissed, golden eyes glaring deep into him as her anger, her most defining trait, came forth for everyone present to see. "I have gone farther than you ever will with that pathetic leg, and when I am in the den, it is to help mother and to learn. For you see, unlike you, I am not a parasite that leeches off of the one who gave us life and gives nothing in return."

Keturah may be cruel, but her words held truth to them. She had often wandered far for the den, even out of Glorall, mostly at night when the shadows covered her movements and Abel was asleep. And when she was in the den, she was helping Ava, getting her things she may require ( For Ava was one of the few that Keturah respected) and simply learning about her lineage to be great one day. Abel on the other hand did none of these things. "You want to stop being weak? You want to prove your worth to the family? You want respect? Well you have to earn it! You have to fight! Stand up for yourself, dont rely on others! Get stronger! Otherwise you are simply a nuisance, and we have no time for nuisances," she continued her rant. Despite how mean what she said was, it was possible the nicest moment she would ever have. It was almost like she cared, but she would not care until Abel proved himself worthy of it.

Sharp teeth lashed out at him again, nipping at him to get him to move again. There would be no rest. He would go until he broke. "Now move Abel," she said, her demeanor calming down slightly. "Et in bello et animam progrediendi moriaris.," (You keep moving forward in life and fighting or you die) she said, eyes flashing momentarily to Eden before she followed after Abel, keeping him moving.
