and count every beautiful thing we can see
Nord was napping in the shade of a dune, tucked away from the world with his long, willowy legs wrapped around himself as best as he could manage. He looked a little awkward and silly, but at least he was comfortable. The wolf had swam over to the island for a place to rest peacefully, figuring that no one else would brave the cold water to swim across to the island today. Of course, from his time living in the mountains he had a thick, fluffy, warm coat, and it kept him mostly from feeling the frigidity of the water. After sunning himself for a while he had taken to a more secluded area up nestled in the sand.
He was sleeping, dreaming peacefully before he was rudely awakened by having water droplets sprayed all over him. Nord blinked open his ocean blue eyes and scrambled to his feet with a start, looking around wildly, his eyes wide and fearful. But it seemed that the source of the water was a tiny little thing, probably a good foot shorter than the wolf standing and staring at her fearfully.
"O-oh boy, I'm sorry." Nord said quietly, his tail inadvertently tucking between his legs as if he had to submit to this little female or something. Although, the nervous creature was submissive to most everybody, regardless of age or stature. He certainly wasn't gracefully tall, just gangly and awkward- he looked like a kid, still, and this only made it more funny to see him nearly trembling from a girl so much smaller than him.
"I-I mean, you s-sprayed water on me, but that's okay. I was definitely in your way. M-my name is Nord, it's nice to meet you. Again, my fault. I am so sorry." The rapid-fire apologies were simply his way, but at least his tail had untucked itself and was now wagging in a somewhat amiable and relaxed fashion.
