The ache in her heart to know her father was strong, but the urge to try and figure things out in her mind was greater. Cade and Ber were easy to understand, but Aurelia was a little different, and Jubilee was determined to know her sister. She hadn’t done much in her short life, but she needed to see what she was supposed to do with her life, where she was meant to go. Maybe Aurelia could help her with that, or maybe she would just see more of this world with her sister. Jubilee knew nothing save her mother and siblings, she had yet to meet the other pups within Spirane, and that alone was a sad realization, her mother was a Crone, a caretaker to the young yet her depression had been so thick that no one could draw her from the sadness.

Mom was sleeping, still and she snuck out as quietly as she could. It was mid-day, and Mom had way too much of a habit of sleeping more throughout the day than was normal for anyone. She paused outside of the den, wrinkling her soft nose as she looked around. She wanted to see Aur. She felt so distant from her sister, and wanted more than anything to change that. She waited, hoping that she would see her sister soon.
