Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Wandering seemed to be all he did of late, although at least he was now focused solely on Moladion as opposed to wandering across the world. Still, he lacked anything to hold him down. This feeling of drifting without purpose was beginning to weigh on him. Of late, he had been debating returning to Diveen. It had been some time since he had seen either of his parents. At this point though, he had nothing to show them other than that he was back. He wanted more than that, something that they could be proud of. He had done nothing with his life so far that was worth showing them.

Dejected, Xavier wandered through the woodlands, his coat sticking out less and less as the winter approached. The trees were mostly bare now. The bark seemed faded and grey, making it so that he no longer stuck out like a sore thumb. His pale green eyes kept an almost unconscious espial over the woods before him, glancing about as he wandered aimlessly. Soon, his eyes caught sight of a figure, This other’s coat blended in as well with the fallen leaves as Xavier’s did with the bleached bark. The male seemed older than him, though not by much. The stranger’s coloration almost reminded Xavier of his own father’s, though there were differences.

He approached the other, making sure to do so at an angle where he would not take the stranger by surprise. He did not wish to entice a fight, after all. He was able to catch the scent of the other male. He was definitely a pack wolf, as he smelled strongly of the woodland pack that was near these woods. Xavier wagged his tail slightly in greeting, dipping his head once he reached a polite distance for conversation.

“Hello,” he said, almost shy in his approach. He had a hunch that this wolf may be related to his father. As he got closer, the shades of brown in his coat seemed identical to his father’s, although the patterning of it was different. “I’m sorry, but you wouldn’t happen to be related to Maddox, would you? Your coat is so similar to his…”

He trailed off, shaking his head slightly. How rude of him, not even introducing himself before requesting a pedigree.

“I apologize, I am Xavier, son of Maddox and Elowen.”
