News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

After her encounter with Aaliyah some time ago, she had been heavily lamenting on the origins of not only herself but of those others that had also been connected to Heyel in some way. She had never really considered the differences or similarities between herself and say, Ava and Azrael. They had, after all, all been chosen by him in some way, just as Aaliyah had been chosen by him in a different sense. For whatever reason, he had always given her such leniency, even when she had been mated with one of Moladion's most well known (and most well resented) wolves. What had been the difference between she and any other? Between she and say, Jaidah? It made her weary of the methods she had utilized in the past to decide strength and weakness. It had also made her think back on Lucid and her apparent failure in his regard. Of course, his death or disappearance had not been his fault. It had been sheer bad luck if the evidence was to be believed and yet, one could never stop believing that had they done something differently, a lost soul might still be around.

Sleekwing's absent had given her all the time, too. Seemingly, Israfel and Moonfeather had found their own bearings relatively fast, likely with their father's guidance. She had initially been unnerved at the prospect of not having Rogue along side her for so long and yet, she had fallen into routine with relative ease. Still, she hoped for her mate's return in the coming seasons. She had apologizing to do, especially now that she had such time to think on such matters. Besides, she had other... ideas, too. Why had she never considered asking Rogue for her own knowledge? She had hailed from a place called Hell, right? Rumors of cannibalism and attacks had been rampant during the initial influx of Demons and so, surely Rogue had some insight into their inner workings. It'd be invaluable in Malina's efforts to understand some small part of that mindset - it'd help understand Asteraia, too. Could those types of wolves really be controlled, or at least managed, by any leader?

Her thoughts had been interrupted, however, by the arrival of a howl - it summoned her directly, an ambitious sound that made her white ear flicker back with bemusement as she laid sprawled out in the waning autumn sun. To be summoned was not exactly a common occurrence for her, especially not by somebody whose voice sounded so young. Still, she had to at least entertain the idea of being summon-able, right? Of course, she'd take her time. Everything was done leisurely so as to let her summoner know that she was not some obedient lap dog. She still had her independence even beneath the banner of Spirane and she'd not let any other forget that. Heyel had instilled that in her and she had no intention on letting that lesson go any time soon.

After some time, however, she had made her way towards the outcrops and foothills towards the mountain's base. She instantly recognized the youthfulness of her company; short, thin, perhaps even smaller than Malina had been at such an age. Still, Malina did not recognize the girl, only her scent and vaguely at that. At least it was no intruder, she supposed, with a relinquished sigh.

Slowly, she settled in front of the girl, rocking back onto her haunches and glancing to the snake's body with a raised brow. Then, her eyes sought the stranger's, her words short and curt: "And you are?" She had an inkling as to why she had been called for, after all, and she never wanted anybody to think that her services - in any way - came easily.
