Fir Chilis is the name given to the dense string of forested land that fills much of Blossom Forest. There are two different populations, depending on where in the land you are. To the north lays the deciduous forest, full of maples, oaks, birches, and beeches. To the south lay a coniferous forest full of pines and firs. No matter where you are, the trees shelter you from the sun and the rain and the snow. Take care not to get lost in the woods however - you may never find your way out. There are other dangerous here too - predators waiting for their own prey. While the land is prosperous they do not pose too much of a threat, but whenever famine or drought hits, they will attack anything... even other Putnar.

Those looking to hunt will find the forests well stocked - there are white-tailed deer, turkeys, red squirrels, chipmunks, mermots, and moose.

A Lily No Longer

Because Orion sought to overrule the alw of the Gods, he and his mate had not shared any of the lore with Ameira or any of her siblings save the first litter. For in that litter were the true heirs that belonged to the pack, as opposed to Ameira, who belonged to no single pack, but all of them at the same time. Always in royalty, there would be two and only two pups born and to survive, a lassie and a laird. If more than two were born, the strongest were kept and the rest were disposed of, either through death or by being disposed of into lower ranks under the disguise of anonymity. The lassie would be betrothed to the first born son of another pack to become Queen, whereas the laird would become first Prince and then afterward King, when his own father was either deceased or gave up his throne. These two were not shielded from anything in the world, and were exposed to business, meetings, and court from the first day that they could see and hear. They were the ones who would pass on knowledge and information. The two pups first born to Cygnus and Orion were true-born, meaning that they had not been picked as the strongest, but had instead were the only two born. Their names were Cassiopa and Lestram.

The brute laughed in response to her question. ‘Misses I have only met three wolves outside of yourself who are not like me. Do not fear for a second that I know you who are.’ Ameira sighed in relief but that was when her orbs had fully turned upon the brute and examined him. His form, figure, and coloring were like nothing she had ever seen. His limbs made up the majority of his body, and though she had seen russets and blacks and browns, she had never seen all of them arranged as such. His orbs did not bother her – they were different, just as her own were different. But either he was not a wolf, or he was a very odd one indeed. The brute’s brow raised and her face sterned, ready for a reprimand, but instead, he began to laugh again. ‘I am a Maned Wolf or you might know Kalak a bit better. Either way do not mistake me for a fox bred with a wolf. We are our own species with a Kingdom residing on the plains in a foreign place. I however am not royalty, I am a commoner with the unlucky trait of dual colored irises – chocolate and amber to be precise.’ Ameira slowly shook her head – his orbs were obvious to see, and yet he had made sure to mention them. Perhaps where he came from, that had some meaning just as her own orbs marked her as different. “What does that signify to you? What mean? I understand royalty and commoners, though it is slightly different where I come from. But why are your orbs different colors, or rather, what does it matter other just being genes that are not the same?” Ameira giggled slightly before letting loose a rare smile. “I am forgetting my manners, I do believe. You asked for my dubbance and I shall give it to you. I am Ameira.”

Usually when she was introduced, a string of titles and relationships came after her name. Ameira, Lily of the Gods, blessed by Tor, born of High Queen Cygnus and High King Orion, belonging to Sunned Downs Pack, sibling to … The list went on and on as all of her siblings. Once her betrothal had been finalized, that was added into her string of titles as well, which had changed once again once he had taken her first blood. When she had finally left her pack, that had changed. But always the beginning stayed with her.

Name. Title.

But here she was Ameira. Just Ameira.

‘Now tell me Princess… You do not seem accustomed to being a commoner like myself, so tell me what is it that would have driven you from home?’ Ameira bristled and stood once again, her daggers digging slightly into the soil beneath her. “My history is my own, as is my reason for leaving. You are neither friend, nor family, nor foe, and thus have no reason to be privy to such information.” She stilled and turned away from him, gulping down air. Even the thought of her past set a fire burning within her. This brute had no idea what she had gone through or how she was brought up. His question had been simple and inquirative. It was not something that she should have gotten defensive about. “I do apologize for my outburst, it was unnecessasry and uncalled for. I left home to escape the cage that was my home, my pack, my laird, and my lands. I left because of who I am. Because of what I am.” She turned back to face him, knowing that her vague answer would only create more questions. Whether the brute would voice such questions remained to be seen.

“I have given you my dubbance, now may I in return have yours? Anything that you wish to share with me as to your own history, I will appreciate, but just as I have secrets, I am sure you do as well. I promise not to pry any farther.”
