I don't have a lot of money, or opportunities to spend time with my family, but I manage to get by and recognize how blessed I am.
There are people who are not as lucky as I and, when the opportunity arises to share a blessing with someone, I take it.
On Thanksgiving I went to Quiktrip and saw a homeless man sitting on the steps. He wasn't begging but people were ignoring him as if he didn't exist. I walked over, introduced myself and asked how he came to be there. A bad auto accident and months in the hospital lost him his job, his home and half of his eyesight. After I shopped inside, I presented him with a sandwich, cake and coffee. After wishing him a happy thanksgiving, I left. I felt so blessed and happy for the opportunity. So, pass things on when you can. The rewards are priceless. My way of giving thanks for my many blessings. Pass it on.
