Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Gods may bleed among mortals...

This little thing confuses me. My knowledge extends far beyond the mortal understanding. But the little things always seemed to understand things a little deeper than we all expect. It is scary to say the least. These shiny things she spoke about I doubt she would be referring to the sun, as dumb as she can be for being tiny. I do not know what she is talking about. What is shiny? Water sparkles depending on the way you look at it and the time of the day. Bugs? But those only shine at night. Was that what she referred to? My youth had always been filled with death, war, fights and intrigues. I may have been forced to grow up earlier.

So I never wasted my time chasing bugs or going after such things. So... I have no idea. I could show her the storm.

She seemed excited enough when she told me she had never stood in the middle of a storm. I smiled.

- I can go as far as take you into a storm. But as you're new to this, I can take you very close to one.

I told her, completely sure of what I was talking about. There is a storm coming soon and summer storms are my favorite. They are much stronger and there is more lightning. She proceed in telling me to help her look fierce. But I cannot do that in front of a pup. I tell her I could try. She mentions her dad, saying he does look fierce. The girl puffed up and showed her teeth. This instinct of mine kept telling me to lay my head on her right now. She even looks like a hare pillow. But I must resist this urge for now. She tells me that when she tries to look fierce they laugh at her. Well, that is understandable. But who wouldn't try and use her as a pillow is what intrigues me.

- Sometimes you don't have to look fierce. Sometimes if you look confident, the others will respect you.

I told her.

- Now... Come. I will show you the storm. And I will tell you a few secrets that you may like.

I told the pup.

- What is your name, wolfy?

I asked. It is not very comfortable to call her wolfy. Especially when I think about my reputation.
