John H. you sound as if you have insight into Craig being a low budget mechanic. My opinion is that he (Craig) has done nothing but outstanding work for me at lowest possible price. I put time on MY MOTOR. I fish 3 to 4 times a week. Go ahead a pay a mechanic to buy a power head and plug it in or pay someone to rebuild your motor to include lower unit, motor mounting, steering and anything else he can find. Up to you of course but I recommend Craig he does good work for me. He has fixed my boat same day it has broke down and many times for free. That's my 2 cents! Oh and this last time was 3K.
