Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

How 'bout a little discipline for the violent beast?
It was irritation that was on the features of my face as I made my way to the beach. Mother said seek out Eden, ruler of the seas, and make myself useful. From what I gathered, the male had shown great interest in her, even sending a diplomat to find her - though she happened upon him first. I was not sure how I was supposed to be useful here, but I suppose I could find a way. Black-grey muzzle raises to the salty air as I send out a childish song for the leader. I never liked waiting, I was not accustomed to it when it came to any wolf but my mother. This was a king I called to me, a ruler of seas and a wolf strong enough to lead others.

Mother told me she was once a queen, until a bad woman came and stole the crown from her while she nursed my siblings and I. Not long ago, a bob-tailed wolf came right up and snatched my brother from me while I was trying to rip his ear off. She ended the game and I said good riddance. One less brother to worry over, I hated the loss of the playmate who could handle my fangs, but Raum liked to scream and it was more pleasing anyway. I never told mother, she would have killed me on the spot if she knew I let the wolf get away with my brother. I wondered why my mother was not a queen still, and perhaps it was her lack of knowledge. She had envisioned a rule where she was unopposed, as if no other would covet what she had. I would be much smarter than that.

When the alpha arrives, I know the sight that will greet him. White coat with pale russet running down my sides in stunning "wet paint" fashion, a dark grey and black dusted muzzle with the emerald green eyes of my heritage. He will either speak or not speak, my introduction is the same. "Greetings, king of the sea. Jaidah sends her regards and sends me in her stead should your offer of save haven still hold true. I am Shaddix, of Jaidah and shadows, if you will have me, I should like to get right away to the work. I wish not to be idle, and would surely enjoy moving up your ranks." It is a lengthy speech for a yearling, this I was well aware of, but I was not your average yearling. I was a male from the line of Jaidah the First through Tobias, though this knowledge may not ever be revealed to me. I am inclined to being a little strange from time to time.
