Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

I wonder if I will be hearing from Jaidah soon. After all, the alpha of Asteraia seems to still be on the throne so I'm going to say she met with defeat once more. I almost feel bad because a small part of me was rooting for her to get it this time, especially after knowing why she fights. I admire her strength but at the same time, I wish she would take a break from all the fighting to recover and maybe make some connections with the parts of her pack that are still loyal to her. I'm sure they're missing her.

As I approach Eden, he gives me a look that clearly acknowledges me before he gestures that I step up alongside him to talk. Where as once I might have faltered or hesitated to do so, this time I am more confident in my step as I move up beside him and start walking, squareing my shoulders for the information I'm about to give. He lets me know that indeed he is curious to know what I have to say and I am satisfied in this, that he truly wants to know. I nod in agreement as he speaks of Jaidah. "She is indeed a curiosity. She is a mother to her wolves, or so she has placed herself in that role for the ones who still follow her. Wolves left Asteraia with her when she left and she feels that she has failed them. She wants to prove that she's worthy of their loyalty and she feels she has to do that by reclaiming the throne that was once hers.

She is open to an alliance with Glorall and also to the possibility of sanctuary here should you allow her and her wolves safety while she recovers. She wanted to give it one more go in the arena for the land she feels is hers to reclaim but since she has met with defeat, I feel that we should be hearing from her soon enough. She assured me this would be the first pack she came to. She fights for pride, but more than that, she fights to right the wrong she feels was done to her. She was birthing her pups when the land was challenged so her mate took over and the fight was lost. She feels that she failed her first test and that she has to fight to show the pack that looked up to her that she's not just going to lie down and take it. She wants power though so she won't be so easy to lead."

I quiet down now, giving the words time to sink in before I listen attentively for anything Eden might have to say now.
