It was an odd thing to have your body respond without her consent, to be sure, and she did her best to stifle her tail's apparent desire to wave behind her as he spun to face her. Nonetheless, it seemed relentless; it swayed behind her slowly but surely, a stark contract to the hard, almost serious lines of her face. Still, she did revel quietly in the way he spoke to her and the way he looked. It was... enjoyable to feel such a thing, a certain warmth brought about by him and yet, the logical side of her knew why she had approached in the first place. She had felt a pang of jealousy, or something akin to it, and so she had to do all that she could to pry open the truth about it. Did she have a reason to be as such? And if so, and even if not, then why had she felt it in the first place? Nonetheless, her brow twitched up at his mention of the woman. A gypsy? A friend from childhood? Foreign concepts, to be sure. In fact, Pandora had never heard of such a term and so, it remained a mystery as to what that might entail. A friend from childhood though... she knew what that meant, at least, though she had nothing to compare it to. In her childhood, friendship had not been something she had sought out. So, she had to pretend like that had some profound meaning to her - she nodded slowly, her eyes wandering away for a moment before she moved to speak. Only, she did not get the chance to speak immediately. Instead, she had been taken off guard by a sudden, feminine voice as a figure appeared apparently out of nowhere. It sent Pandora back a step or two before she regained composure; she straightened up her posture, her head high and eyes staring down at the brown woman. It could not be helped, really. She felt on edge around the woman, if only because she understood so little about not only her but also the situation they had all been placed into. Well, that she and Tithe had been put into at least. It felt wrong to include another third party into something that felt so personal. "A wolf of Spirane," she responded simply, though her voice gave away the guarded nature of her response. "Tithe was missing and so, I thought I ought to check. There's rumors about some nasty wolves out here, didn't you know? We best take care of our own in these times." She made a polite grin at the woman before her eyes darted back to Tithe with an unspoken question, or an unspoken annoyance perhaps. Why had the woman come back if she was just a friend? Had she felt a little... jealous, too? |
