Cause we all know we have to be Stronger

It really couldn’t have gone better if I planned it myself. Oh wait… I did plan this myself. Still, it went perfectly. She was here though I could very much tell she was not happy or pleased on any level about it. That was a bit disappointing, I was hoping she would be happy that I open up the doors to her to stay for the winter and be safe and warm and well fed throughout it but it seems she has her own reasons for not liking this place. Her eyes flick off in the distance as I welcome her back home and tell her why she is here. Her reply though was slightly unexpected to say the least. Few fond memories… I wonder why for a moment before deciding its really none of my business. She wasn’t here when I joined; therefore I didn’t know what may have happened to cause her to feel this way. She says though that she is happy her brother is here and I roll my cinder flecked shoulders as she says ‘if she must stay’. That again was wholly up to her. My job was done at this point and so long as Aithne saw I was more than capable of thieving. My tail was waving lightly but it stops at the mention of a “beast” of hers. A beast? I guess she means that male’s scent that was all around the area and on her. She had drifted from her den, sure, but I still had a bit of pride that I still managed to sneak her away from under his nose.

To be honest I felt even more pride as I see him come charging towards us. I am a calm wolf by nature, I suppose I get that from my mother. I smirk slightly at first but I allow my features to fall more passive as he acts like a rabid animal rather than any kind of sensible creature. One of those types I guess one to let his fangs to the talking but little of it himself. Fun times are ahead for me I guess as I gaze into his challenging eyes almost daring him to try. I know I might not look like much, but I was going to be the assassin of Iromar, to carry my family’s lineage in such a way and I had been learning and working towards that goal since I was a child. Perhaps I wasn’t the most skilled warrior but that came with time and I was still young. Still if he was this instinctual snarling beast I figured I could take him.

However his… owner? I guess I will call her that, talked to him then, nuzzling into him with a public display of affection that made me uncomfortable, especially with the sigh and how close winter was to us. I clear my throat my gaze moving embarrassingly away from them as if I were some pup watching their parents kiss though I did my very best not to roll my eyes at such things. It was hard… very hard… but I managed. She explained the situation to him, which regardless of his reaction I think is enough if he truly is her pet as I sort of respect with his protective ragy ness. Who knows, maybe I managed to snatch his imprint. I really didn’t care about him or his snappy attitude to be honest. She was right, he attacked me here he was liable to have a whole pack on him, and he very likely probably didn’t want to be that guy. The last wolf to hurt a member now served as Omega to the pack as well as prisoner and the one before that he was dead and in the ground. Banning would be the least of her worries. Her pet would probably be killed if I knew Aithne well enough. Sure, I stole his ‘owner’, but I have made my intentions clear enough that she can leave whenever she wants now that I completed my task.

”Well then, now that that’s settled. Enjoy your stay, visit your brother, partake of our stores of food the head off. Stay for the entire winter if it is your wish. But!” I bowed my head looking up at the pair of them, ”With that I will bid you farewell.” Then turn and allow my form to trot back over the moorlands deeper into the area to quickly report to Aithne of my success then I will find Avery and spar. I was going to complete my work before this year was up if it killed me, and this was just one more thing to check off my list.
