He was still a child, but that would be changing soon. Though still the young wolf didn’t really feel like anything was changing even if he was in the last season before he would be considered an adult. It all felt the same, which wasn’t a good thing. His family was still scattered and in shambles. The only one who was constant was his sister Tuari who was adult herself and was constantly around her imprint now, which he didn’t blame her. Then he hadn’t seen Luk, Yoska, his mom or dad in sometime… mostly his mom he hadn’t seen her since his first winter and he didn’t expect to ever see her again either.
There have been little in terms of advancement in his life and he wasn’t sure what else he could do to do anything. He was deaf, few took the time to try and talk with him or get to know him and others just couldn’t understand his broken English or his mouthed words. After all he had a mute sister, and she tried to teach him how to say things right but still it wasn’t very good. His ears fell back they were useless anyway and he decided he should leave Taviora for a while. He didn’t even want to go on the pack hunt, probably not a really good start considering that was his job but Tuari was going already and well he didn’t really want to be around all the pack wolves right now.
It dawned on him as he walked further and further from the forest he called home that he had only ever left its boundaries twice in his life and both had been under the supervision of another wolf. He would go back sooner or later, but he wanted to go out just for his thoughts. Honestly he wondered if this was why his parents left was because they could collect their thoughts on the move. As he looked at the unfamiliar sights and took in the world with a sharper than normal eye he felt a sigh in the world that only he and few others could feel. The soft almost non existant breeze, the pulse in his viens, the earth under his paws and the vibrating of anything moving not far around him. All of it was his way of hearing the world and it was even more wonderful when not at home.
He gave a loud sigh of relief. Feeling something reconnect within him. He didn’t know what it was but he wanted to run. Run as fast as he could with every fiber in his being. So he did. Sprinting across the land not taking mind that other wolves might be hunting or doing anything around there. He just ran, ran his worries, his troubles and thoughts away. Laughing, panting seeing clouds of steam come from his maw he was just trying to have fun and enjoy himself for the first time in a long time. Running circles around brush and trees bouncing at sticks just being… Free. That’s what he needed right now. He had no idea not far away there was a girl trying to hunt he was just trying to have fun and enjoy this land that currently felt like paradise.
