News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

I knew my mother was back. Not unharmed but not dead. She had joined the pack I didn’t recognize the call immediately, after all she left me before I was even a full season of age… I visit Daenerys regularly enough to hear though and well I didn’t know what to do with myself. I didn’t know If I wanted to hear see or anything her. She had children, just like my father she seemed to move on after leaving me, though he thought she was dead. Maybe she thought the same? I was starting to wonder now and then if Fenrir himself lied to get in my ‘better’ graces. Well that failed, he took her away and she died I was told leaving me alone. I had no idea where my sister had gone either so it was just me. Thankfully I was raised by Alcide and MoonGlow and though sometimes they too were intermittent in my life they were there for me more than my own blood. That was when I learned blood was not thicker than water and now I am forever loyal to my sister and her actual blood family, our family.

I was hardly a paragon, but I like to think I was a better parent like figure than both of them… I stuck by children who weren’t even my own, raised them to the best of my ability and loved them more than anything. They were my little sisters, their parents taken from them all too soon and even now I aid in raising one of their litters. It is nearly killing me because I rather dislike the sire but I love all my two nieces and my nephew unconditionally even if they try to say.. shove me off a cliff.. well they are children… rather rambunctious children, but I see MoonGlow in Moonstone and that brings some piece to my soul though the other two Samus and Rufio they certainly take more after their parents with their rowdy if not downright destructive play. I love them though, I try to teach them all I can about their grandparents. I don’t even think they know I am not related by blood, especially with how Moonstone looks like a lighter version of myself somewhat. Today though I was taking a day off.

I moved through the more thickly forested area of Spirane, it was closer to Taviora’s side but it was the best place this time of years to do something I felt I didn’t do enough of these days. Sing with the birds. Their songs were what gave me the songlike quality to my voice. Causing me to almost sing my words rather than just speak. It was something unique to me, something I gained because I spent my childhood here… alone. They were my friends, my only friends and I was happy with them. I hadn’t been expecting guests so I had been humming and singing softly with the sparrows that remained in the winter. It was then I heard her.

I whip around only to see myself face to face with the doe colored creature she was named after. My mother. Though it has been years I still remembered her face, I never remembered Fenrir’s to be honest but I always had hers. I didn’t know what to say. I expected we may meet but I wasn’t sure what to do. I was mad at her too for leaving me, I blamed father over all for taking her away but she didn’t have to go… anymore though and Maybe I understood a bit better. I was getting closer to my own imprint, Solara, after all and if she left again… I too might be tempted to follow now that we had more than one greeting and bonding. My beaten and slashed soul finally finding itself mending after being torn apart several times…

I look her over a bit of sadness touching my eyes as I see her heavily scarred face and my hackles prickle without my permission. Not at her, but whoever or whatever had hurt her. ”Mother.” The word rolls off my tongue, its odd to say it to her, she was never there for me and MoonGlow was the wolfess I called mother by the end. But here I was saying it to a wolf that was pretty much a stranger to me. ”Were you looking for me or… just happen by?” I say in my songlike tentrils, knowing the answer. No one usually came this close to Taviora’s border unless they were crossing in usually or patrolling. It was partly why I liked it here for the solitude that came with being close to the no man’s land between packs.
