Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

The night is cold but her coat is thick and it would serve to keep off the worst of it. Fenrir would come and drive out any vestiges of chill left in her and they would spend idle hours together merely basking in the company of the other. So much time has passed and so much had come to fruition. Children, homes, adventures. She remembers the very first time when she ran with the wind and her alabaster body almost disappeared into the element. Remembers her loneliness and bitterness and the way she had stumbled upon the group. Neirin with his princely demeanor, Ifrit who grated on her nerves, Seamus so full of life and jest, and Fenrir. He had been cold and remote and had drawn her attention immediately.

Then he had summoned her from the bowels of Spirane and they had, on that night, begun to sow the heart that they shared as one. His howl is soft in the night, belonging to the shadows like the hoot of an owl, but it is broken with a thread of age and a hint of fading. Her heart trips and picks up pace, worry creases her brow but she pushes it away. He had many more years left, she assured herself, and beamed when he materialized out of the night.

She presses herself against him with a sigh of contentment, ignoring the disquiet in her soul. He wishes to visit Taviora and run there and... Do other things. A sly grin curls her lips as she nips at one of his dark ears. "Of course I shall venture with you, my love. We shall race amongst the shadows together. It would be a pleasant trip, she thought, missing her eldest children with a pang and seeing Seamus once more. She tilts her head gently beneath starlight. "When do you wish to go? I will leave Samia and Thor here to learn a little of independence themselves," she says with a smile, imagining that they should not be around the two lovers alone in winter.
