"There is no one who loves pain itself, who seeks after it and wants to have it, simply because it is pain..."
I can't help but laugh in amusement when he turns in surprise at the sound of my voice. Apparently he thought he was more stealthy than he actually is. At least he has a sharp tongue to go along with the sharp looks. He smirks right back at me, telling me that he doesn't have to coat himself in mud to eat. I flick my tail and look him over, tilting my head. "I guess you must have found a way since you don't look all that scrawny to me. Unless you've decided to go vegan or something." I'm sure he would be quite shiny with a clean coat and he doesn't seem all that matted up either so he must keep himself well groomed. I wonder if he has any battle scars.
As his eyes look upon me, I can see him taking in my markings and I straighten up proudly. I am not ashamed to be of Iromar and though I may not have the blood of demons in my veins, I have lived among them and Andras was as good a father to me as anyone. He instantly looks wary and I almost laugh again at the caution in his gaze. "I am no killer, though I can mess you up if you get on my bad side." I say almost jokingly. My eyes glisten in amusement though anyone who looks at my fighter's figure would know I mean every word. He introduces himself as Xavier and I prick my ears.
"Avery." I answer back. "Where are you from? You don't smell of a pack. Are you a loner by nature?" I cannot help my curiosity.
