News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

Drogon
darkness there, & nothing more
Blunt claws dig in their hold as the brutish young male made his way up the mountain, taking a path far steeper than most would dare to traverse. He is strapped with muscle for one his age, always pushing himself to the limit to become stronger, to overcome physical feats he couldn't have the day prior. At two years old he still had plenty of room to grow, and the immense paws upon which his body was carried were a tell tale sign of just how robust he would mature to be. Though the path he followed was unfamiliar, the destination was anything but. Garnet eyes glanced upwards, the shelf of rock above him looming ever closer as his tucked his chin back down and pressed on, grappling at the craggy mountainside as he pulled himself ever upwards. A hind paw slipped on the precarious surface and the muscles in his torso went taut, straining as he found his footing and moved to continue up the steep incline.

At long last he reached the flat surface of the outcropping of rock, and his sides heaved from the exertion of the climb. A trembling heat coursed through his body, and he felt an overwhelming sense of accomplishment. He did not bother to move to the edge of the overhang as he normally would, laying down on the spot and allowing the cool press of the stone to his abdomen help to bring his body temperature back to normal. Coal black maw parted, as he panted heavily for the first few moments until his breathing began to steady. After some time his breathing returned to normal and his mouth pulled shut, the red of his eyes scanning around him as he took in the barren trees of late autumn. Everything was so quiet, so serene up there. Almost too quiet, as his life had become after the party hosted back in spring. He hadn't seen Semele since, and it troubled him greatly. The most somber of the young dragons had become even more withdrawn in the past months, often wandering down closer to where he knew Semele's family denned. But the challenging blaze of orange that glared at him when he wandered too close kept him at bay, hardly desiring to put himself on her mother's bad side. So he bided his time, filling the hours of his days with training - both solo and in the company of his brothers. Every day he grew stronger, and if Rhaegal wasn't careful it wouldn't be long before he was unable to fight off a pin from Drogon.

Twin peaks flicked backwards, then forwards again at the barest of sounds. Had it come from below? Before he could scoot forward to look, something else distracted him, a single falling leaf careening softly on the currents of air, until its bright red form came to rest just in front of his paws. Blinking, he leaned forward to get a closer look, and found that a slim channel of pale green still threaded its way through the red, a desperate attempt to cling to life. His thoughts shifted immediately to Semele, a clutching in his chest causing him to inhale deeply. And then, as if by some divine power, her voice rang out to him. She called his name, and for a moment Drogon thought he'd imagined it, until a slight squeal followed. He exhaled sharply and thus accidentally blew the leaf right off the ledge. Scrambling forward in an attempt to catch it, he was too late, and watched it slowly drift down, down, down, until it landed near a rather suspicious pile of leaves. His brow quirked and his head tilted to the side. Leaves did not fall in such an organized fashion. A smirk pulled across his lips then, knowing Semele must have had something to do with it.

In a flash he was on his feet, crossing the stone outcropping in two strides to the easier path of descent. He practically leapt down the trail, bounding towards the piles of leaves until he skid to a halt at their edges. His tail waved out behind him in excited anticipation. Nostrils flared, catching her scent rife throughout the area. She was still here, he was certain of it, but where was she hiding?
